THE GROOVE will be the centerpiece band this Saturday, April 18th at Na Lama Kukui Stage. This concert is part of the launch of the Opio Makeke presented by Keiki Rise with over 20 keiki entrepreneur booth selling pre-packed food, clothing, and arts & craft items. There will also be free cultural workshops for Konane, Lauhala Weaving, and Kupe’ e, plus BINGO at 6:00 p.m.
THE GROOVE is a 4-piece band, on Bass/Vocals – Gary Kalei Rivers (Drums); Ben Juan (Sax & Flute); Rex Godinez (Guitar); and Tre Kai (Vocals). They will take you back to the Old School Music of the 70’s mostly, including local music of that era.
