Na Lama Kukui Lifestyle & Design Center launches its first ʻŌpio Mākeke with Keiki Rise, an intergenerational community event that brings together kūpuna and youth for a day of local-style music, cultural activities, storytelling, food, and entrepreneurship. There will be over 20 booths selling pre-packed food, clothing, and arts & craft items created by local teens.
In addition, there will be a free concert with Brickwood Galuteria and a group of surprise guest stars sharing Hawaiian classic songs from yesteryear plus performances by KUKUI BLEND and THE GROVE.
There will also be free cultural workshops for Konane, Lauhala Weaving, and Kupe’e, plus BINGO at 6:00 p.m. with lots of prizes.
